What a great place in Rehoboth Beach! I have eaten here three times now and the food and service has been excellent every time! I love the vibe here, can't wait to come back!

Lula Brazil is an amazing addition to the Rehoboth scene. We came in as a party of 8 and were given tremendous and attentive service by our waiter. We started off with drinks which were perfectly made and then moved onto appetizers of Calamari and assorted Tapas. I ordered the Seafood drew with shrimp for my meal which was incredible. Rich flavors, but not too thick. Another member ordered the Swordfish and she is not much of a white fish fan, but said it was awesome. The mixes grill was ordered as well and my friends said the steak was amazing and perfectly cooked. One of the best they have ever had. The atmosphere was great and towards the end the DJ started playing to give it a great Brazilian ambiance. Our server was so full of knowledge about the food and drinks, we were all quote impressed. The owner also stopped by to introduce herself and the restaurant. It was such a nice touch. We will return again and again and look forward to our next visit. Don't miss the chance to try this great new addition!

This restaurant actually makes me angry because it has so much potential. My dinner was great (flank steak cooked perfectly with mixed veggies) but service was abysmal. Went there yesterday with family. Tables were empty in the front of the house but because we had kids they shuffled us to an area that looks like a dance hall. We were the only table in that area; couldn't even see another diner let alone a waiter or waitress. We arrived around 7:30pm. The music was so loud we couldn't speak and be heard. We asked three times to turn down the music because we were the only people on the entire area. Each time they would oblige and then it would go back up. We placed our order and waited. And waited. And waited. Two members of our party had to leave without dinner at 9:30. My husband's drink order was placed (a draft beer) and about 15 minutes later it arrived. I asked if I could order one too (waitress never asked) and was told that of course I could order one too. (Why would you take one person's order and not another's?) I eventually had to walk up to the bar myself to order a beer. It just shouldn't be this hard to order and receive food. And the bill? Nearly $200 for food and 3 beers.

Just had an amazing meal at lula Brazil! The swordfish from the grill was perfectly cooked. First time having farofa and I loved it! Wifey's hearts of palm risotto was also yummmmmm. Great vibe. Ask for Christian, very knowledgeable and friendly.

Heart of palm risotto was excellent (although I think they forgot to add the cashews) My companions had the chicken stew and both enjoyed it. We shared yucca fries and honey sweetened fried plantains, which were awesome. The staff was very friendly and the service was prompt. Our water was constantly refilled without having to ask, which was much appreciated since we were hydrating for a marathon the next morning. The atmosphere was clean and cuisine appropriate.

Dewars on the rocks - 1/2 a shot for $9.00 - Really! Never again! Good luck staying in business! On the plus side - the steak and arugula salad was good - but does not out weigh the short pour - too bad as initial impressions do count!

Really? Charge me $10 to come in to your two bit bar? You've got to be out of your mind. Should have tried that move in July, not November

The food is decent, good but also quite average. In Rehoboth, there are so many good restaurants, and unfortunately, this just doesn't hit the mark( in my opinion..) Our server was nice and the service was quick..the prices were fair..but the food was just average: The palm salad was pretty bad with a watery dressing, and some very bad hearts of palm. The calamari were average. The highlight of the dinner was the seafood stew was actually pretty good! Nice selection of fish and well prepared. Don't get the fried plantains, the plantain was clearly not ripe, and was not sweet at all. I've had plantains before, but never have they been so hard and bitter as the one here was.

Anyone there from Brazil? From servers to hostesses, I saw no Brazilians and the food reflects the same. Bland flavors, forget the feijoada, which is supposed to be a national dish. Blandness to the max. Wife's black bean soup was cold and calamari was missing the lime sauce. WTH? This place is a disaster. To the other reviewers, WTH does cute decor have to do with good food? This place is a dump. Save your money and frustration.

I loved the mixed seafood stew. Even ordered a second plate of the plantains, delicious! The chocolate ganache cake was divine. Tasty authentic Brazilian dishes and cocktails. Very attentive service. Will be back next time we are in Rehoboth!

My buddy and I went dancing here on a Saturday night in July. The crowd was friendly, fun, and enjoying themselves so much. The dance floor was not too crowded so you could move well. The crowd was diverse in age and backgrounds and no bad vibes at all. DJ was great and they had real nice lazers and a little fog machine. Drinks were fine and the owner was very friendly. Would recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy themselves dancing, i can't wait to go back.

This is closer to 4.5 stars to me. Lula Brazil has bright and lively décor (inside and out!), and those characteristics are reflected in the outstandingly friendly, efficient, attentive, and helpful staff. [The night we went they also had an excellent DJ from "Spinjocs".] The caipirinhas are excellent, from decent-size menu of mixed drinks. The food was also excellent -- plentiful, full of flavor, and creative. I thoroughly enjoyed my risotto with hearts of palm, but the true standout was the crab-stuffed swordfish that friends ordered (and that I stole several bites of). I will definitely return the next time I'm in Rehoboth!

Loved this place! The food and the service were great (the caipirinhas were perfect!!) I think we made friends with everyone there, two lovely servers and the owner, Meg. Oh, and the decor is also really cute. We will definitely be coming back next summer!! I told my family I wanted to go somewhere with seafood and that we couldn't find at home. I studied abroad in Brazil so when we found this place I definitely wanted to try it! In my opinion, all our dishes were more sophisticated versions of classic Brazilian (Northeastern) cuisine. We got the seafood stew (moqueca) and it was lighter and fresher than what I'd had in Brazil. Other family members got the shrimp and fish (both looked fresh and simple. Grandma raved about the flavor in her shrimp dish) and a salad. For dessert we got the fruit & sorbet, the chocolate cake, and the passion fruit mousse. I have been missing passion fruit so that was great! The fruits in the parfait were really fresh and grandma was happy there was a dairy-free option that was actually yummy. Note: This would be a great choice for people looking for a dairy- and/or gluten-free option. My grandma is severely allergic to milk and she could eat most things on the menu.

It's our third time here as we ate here twice during the soft opening at the end of season. As always we were excited to eat here. The experience was inconsistent. Dean ordered the stuffed flounder and I ordered the seafood stew. My stew was delicious and savory with only a few modifications to make it gluten-free. What we love about Lula Brazil is most dishes are made fresh, so they are wonderful at accommodating dietary restrictions. I would order this every time without a second though or moment's hesitation: it's a stellar dish that's beautifully presented. The scents of coconut, saffron and pepper are just magical. Husbear's was less magical. As he says "the part that wasn't overcooked was delicious". Someone in the kitchen has a notion we want crispy, burnt flounder. No, we don't. Stop it right now. The manager was uncommonly gracious, as you'd expect in a better restaurant like this. Of course we'll be back. Every great ship has a few tweaks in its maiden voyage. We look forward to many years of dining here.

Great service and food. Nice selection; I had trouble deciding between many appealing options. We had the catch of the day, and it was prepared well plus included South American favorites like plantains and beans & rice. We had a birthday in our party, and they helped us celebrate. This is a solid dinner option when in Rehoboth.

OMG, if you are in Rehoboth this is a must for dinner, cocktails, dancing just a all around great place. The food was fantastic and the service was just incredible. I'll be back!

We noticed Lula Brazil last week, on the list of restaurant week restaurants, and though we didn't have time to fit in a dinner, we did have lunch on Friday. I have spent years in Brazil, and love Brazilian food, so I was optimistic about having a good Brazilian restaurant in one of our favorite vacation towns. My wife and I both had the Brazilian crab soup and the Moqueca de peixe, camarão,e mexilhões. The soup was sublime. It was wonderfully creamy -- coconut milk -- and smooth as silk. The flavors were subtle and delicious. The moqueca was also outstanding, as good as anything I've had in any Brazilian restaurant anywhere. It was served with a separate bowl of rice and farofa, and was brilliant. Everything was absolute perfection. The restaurant is helped by having a lovely owner, Meg, who clearly developed a passion for Brazilian food while she was an exchange student there a number of years ago, and while we were there last week we could take advantage of the culinary expertise of Yara Roberts, the well-known Brazilian chef who has been working with Meg on the menu. It was only lunch, and we left town the next morning, but it will be our first stop on our next trip to Rehoboth.

A great break from the fried seafood monopoly in rehoboth! Authentic food, great fried plantains, and vegetarian options available. The spicy hot sauce on the table is eye watering but delicious. Try it!

A nice, different option in Rehoboth. Had dinner for two. Had a different and interesting menu. Had the mixed grill which included steak, sausage and shrimp, all of which were very tasty. Also had the Brazilian seafood stew which had wonderful flavor. Glad we ordered both and shared. The cocktails were also delicious. Had a traditional Brazilian drink which was a bit sweet but good. What was outstanding was the service. Attentive but not intrusive. Very willing to educate on the foreign menu. Even went so far as to write down the name of the peppers that are served as a spicy (very spicy) condiment. Also, they were very helpful and willing to work with gluten free options (they made the yucca fries without the normal flour topping so that we could enjoy them). Would definitely go back.

Excellent choice in Rehoboth - great atmosphere, top quality food and surprisingly authentic taste for those looking for something different in the Chesapeake Bay region. I can say that, as I had just returned from a trip to Recife (Brazil) one week prior to visiting this place -- and it was great to share the experience with others here in the US. Yes, the place is not run by Brazilians, but the owner Meg lived there and has traveled extensively from Fortaleza to Bahia, Rio and many towns in between. She introduced herself at the table and put a lot of attention into every detail to make it as close as possible. As we say in Brazil: "Ela bota aquele capricho...." My wife and I ordered the muqueca (a seafood stew) and it was fantastic. They even provided some extra "farofa" on the side, which combined with the "pimenta malagueta" gave it that extra plus we always look for. My son had the "Picanha" - a prime cut of steak, which came with black beans, farofa and "molho a campanha", it was tender and juicy and he was a happy dude. Definitely a place to come repeatedly whenever we visit again. Obrigado!!

Stopped in here again for happy hour. You really can't beat the wine prices. This time opted for the sausage and yucca. Once again the bartender was extremely friendly and helpful. The fried yucca was delicious. Wanted to try the burger but were eating dinner somewhere else and didnt want to be too full. The stew was recommended to us by the bartender so will probably try that next. My only complaint is both times I was here there were gnats swarming my head. Maybe just because it's around the bar area but maybe some gnat traps should be suggested.

Great new addition to the Rehoboth beach restaurant scene. Authentic Brazilan fare with a twist. The traditional caprinha cocktail comes in classic lime as well as pineapple and other variations. The menu had many interesting choices. I had the black bean soup starter, the grilled sirloin, and closed with a rich coconut custard and passion fruit dessert. Others at my table tried the fried yucca, the seafood stew, and the cheese bread appetizer, and all of us raved about them.
